Because You Love Your Pet

Pets are family and they are with us for such a short time. Don't settle for blurry photos that never make it off your cell phone. With professional equipment and experience working with even the most rambunctious of pets, Sharon will work hard to create images and artwork that you will enjoy for years to come.

Pet portrait sessions can be either in-studio or on-location at a place we choose together like the beach or a park. Your dog can’t be off-leash? No problem! Digital editing can remove leashes with ease. These sessions are informal and fun for both pets and owners.

How to Prepare Your Dog for Their Photo Shoot:

Many people worry that their dog won’t behave during their portrait session. The truth is that they probably won’t and that’s ok. Rest assured that Sharon has loads of patience with animals and has learned lots of tricks over the years to photograph even the most restless dog.

However, there are some ways that you can help make the portrait session stress-free:

  • It is very important that you exercise your pet prior to the session to allow them to get some energy out. This will vary with the age and mobility of the dog, but as they say, “a tired dog is a happy dog”.

  • Give them a light meal (but not so much that they don't want treats!). If your pet has any allergies please let Sharon know ahead of time. Feel free to bring your own treats.

  • For your session please bring along a thin leash, some of your pet's favourite toys and treats, and some water.

  • Be prepared to be involved (but not too involved). Let Sharon and your dog guide the process and ask how you can be most helpful. This varies greatly on the age and personality of your dog.
